Sticker Sets for Women’s Month – 100% Proceeds Donated to Abby’s House!

March is International Women’s Month. I think we can all agree that the world has made progress in terms of acknowledging the value women have in our society. But, the truth is, there is a lot more work that needs to be done. Yes, this month’s dedication to acknowledging women is very important. However, I think the best way to celebrate women is to take action and provide them with the support they crucially need. Women need resources. Women need shelter. Women need opportunities. Women need a chance. I encourage you to be a part of the solution.

I understand that resources are tight for all of us during this time but I think we still have the capacity to give. I had some extra inventory of stickers and used them to create a sticker set. I priced them at $5 + $1 for shipping. All $5 went directly to Abby Kelley Foster House in Worcester, MA.

I chose this organization for their mission in providing shelter, affordable housing, as well as advocacy and support services, to homeless, battered, and low-income women, with or without children. They want to empower women they serve to lead self-directed lives filled with dignity and hope. I also reviewed them on Charity Navigator and deemed them fiscally responsible with their resources. Imagine not having a place to sleep or shower. Imagine the potential these women have but they need to focus their energies on securing their next meal. Before we can live fulfilling lives, we need to make sure our basic needs are met.

Within two days, we raised $100 for Abby’s House. It may not seem like much but it’s more than what we would’ve done if we did nothing. It’s something. It’s a start. This started conversations. This introduced the charity to people that didn’t know Abby’s House even existed. We made a little dent in the universe and this counts for something.

This got the ball rolling for me to look into more charities that need our support. If you’re in a privileged position to help, I encourage you to do so. Happy Women’s Month!
